Nuts and Bolts

The Settled Rabbi Search Committee (SRSC) spent most of its sixth meeting on August 29th divided into four groups for this very productive, working session.

One group was tasked to take notes on the useful (Reconstructionist) article “Suggestions for a Productive Interview with Rabbinic Candidates,” and drafting the interview questions we will address to candidates. A second group began drafting the form letters that will be sent to the candidates during the interview process. Another group refined the info-sheets about WJC and the region, since we’re hoping to be as alluring to the candidates as the candidates are hoping to be to us. The fourth group put the finishing touches on the job description that will soon be posted, managing to express our hopes and expectations with clarity, passion, and economy.
