Tonight, in an evening of new beginnings, we rededicate our building, our sacred space, our Jewish communal home, the Woodstock Jewish Congregation’s synagogue.
We thank all those who played a part in the repairs and renovations following the flood in the building, as well as those who have helped to make the space continue to feel warm and inviting before, during, and after that process.
Shechina, Eternal Divine Presence, In-Dweller of Sacred Places and Spaces, may THIS sacred place remain a center of love, kindness, and compassion, of prayer, ritual, and learning, of gathering and of uplift. May we strive to build strong bonds of friendship within and beyond its walls. May we fill its rooms with Torah, laughter, and song. May this building and the people who come here know the joys of Judaism, the gift of community, and the boundless love of one another.
Amen.
