Location

Kehillat Lev Shalem, The Woodstock Jewish Congregation, is located on Glasco Turnpike, a quarter mile from Route 212, between the towns of Woodstock and Saugerties. Please see the map and directions below, or click here to see our address on Google Maps.

 

Driving Directions

FROM THE NORTH: Take the NYS Thruway (I-87) to Exit 20 (Saugerties). After the toll booth, make a left onto 32. In 0.3 miles, at light, make a right onto Route 212 West toward Woodstock. Go 5.8 miles. Make a right turn onto Glasco Turnpike (marked with a small blue sign saying “Ulster County 32”). Our synagogue is about 400 yards ahead on the right.

FROM WOODSTOCK: Take Route 212 East toward Saugerties. Follow Route 212 for 2.5 miles. Make a left turn onto Glasco Turnpike (look for our sign!) Our synagogue is about 400 yards ahead on the right.

FROM NYC AND SOUTH: Take the NYS Thruway (I-87) to Exit 19 (Kingston). After the toll booth, take the first right (before the traffic circle) onto Route 28 West toward Woodstock and Pine Hill. In about 6.5 miles, turn right onto Route 375. Follow 375 to its end (3 miles), then turn right onto Route 212 East toward Saugerties. In 2.5 miles, make a left turn onto Glasco Turnpike (look for our sign!) The synagogue is about 400 yards ahead on the right.

FROM THE KINGSTON_RHINECLIFF BRIDGE: Continue to follow Route 209 to the interchange with Route 28. Take Route 28 West toward Woodstock and Pine Hill. In about 5.6 miles, turn right onto Route 375. Follow 375 to its end (3 miles), then turn right onto Route 212 East toward Saugerties. In 2.5 miles, make a left turn onto Glasco Turnpike (look for our sign!) The synagogue is about 400 yards ahead on the right.

 

Public Transportation

TRAIN: The nearest train station is Amtrak (1-800-USA-RAIL) in Rhinecliff, New York, 18 miles from WJC.

If you take the bus or train, local cab services, Uber, and Lyft are available to take you to Woodstock or the Synagogue.

BUS: Adirondack Trailways has buses to both Kingston (11 miles from WJC) and Woodstock (3 miles from WJC). There are more buses to Kingston.

CAB: If you take the bus to Kingston or Woodstock, or Amtrak to Rhinecliff, you can take a cab to get to WJC or your accommodations. The local cab company is Kingston Car Service. Uber and Lyft also operate here.
