Mussar is a Jewish ethical, educational and cultural movement that developed in 19th century Lithuania. The Hebrew term Mussar (מוּסַר) is adopted from the Book of Proverbs describing moral conduct, instruction or discipline, educating oneself on how one should act in an appropriate manner.
The WJC Mussar study group will engage in hands-on contemplative practices and exercises that have evolved over the past thousand years to help an individual soul break through the barriers that surround and obstruct the flow of Divine light in our lives. The goal of Mussar practice is to release this light of holiness that already lives within the soul. Mussar methods include meditations, guided contemplations, exercises and chants that are all intended to penetrate down to the darkness of the subconscious, to bring about change right at the root of our nature.
The group is facilitated by Kimberly Smith. Please click HERE to register!
