FIRST FRIDAY Shabbat Home Dinner and Celebration

We miss our monthly "First Friday" pot luck Shabbat dinners, so we are trying something new so that we can be together virtually for a Shabbat meal. We will all be together, while we each light candles and eat Shabbat dinner in our own homes. At 6pm Rabbi Jonathan will lead us in the table rituals to welcome Shabbat. Then we will join "Breakout Tables" and eat with the company of other community members. After the meal, Rabbi Jonathan will reconvene us all for some words of Torah, Birkat Hamazon (Grace after Meals) and some Shabbat singing. It should be lovely, let's find out together how this works! (There will be no 7:30 service this evening.)

On the days when we learn and practice from 1-2pm, at 2pm we will offer a communal healing prayer and also take advantage of our online minyan to provide an opportunity for anyone who needs to recite the Mourner’s Kaddish. Feel free to join us at 2pm, even if you have not been participating during the previous hour!
