If you bike, hike or walk, come hear the current plans to interconnect bike and walking paths in Woodstock and all of Ulster County and turn our roads into thriving multi-transport systems, safe for pedestrians and bikes alongside cars.
Learn and Play family programming is for children ages 4-6. We will explore Torah stories through craft, outdoor play, stories, and song.
Join us as we sit together in contemplative silence, a practice of shema: listening carefully to our inner voice or to the thoughts of others.
Join us, as musicians from our community lead from the center of the room, and we combine our voices to sing the same words over and over, bringing us deeper into sacred connection with the coming of Shabbat.
Klezmer Purim! The evening of Purim, we will be gathering to hear the words of the Megillah to the melodies of Klezmer Berl’s Hotsie Totsie Orkester. Come fulfill the mitzvah of hearing the Megillah!
Purim is coming! Join us in person (and in costume!) for a community-wide, family-friendly celebration. The Family School learners will perform a shpiel, there will be games and crafts, and we will be selling hamantaschen.
Join us to bring a Jewish voice to protecting our environment. Writing together, we will ask our state legislators to pass the Bird and Bees Protection Act banning the neurotoxic “neonic” pesticides.
Hosted by WJC Member Rebecca L. Horwitz, with Presenter Olesya Kotsyumbas and her children Yarema and Solomia of Kyiv, Ukraine. This will be a fundraiser for the work of the Krakow, Poland Jewish community with Ukrainian refugees.
Join Rabbis Linda Motzkin and Jonathan Rubenstein for an afternoon of Torah-making and bagel-baking. Rabbi Linda will lead us in stretching a deer hide on a frame as part of the process of making a panel of parchment for the Torah scroll she is writing. With Rabbi Jonathan we will mix the dough for bagels, boil them and bake them, share some and take some home.
